This Privacy Policy explains how RideReadyHub ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use our mobile app and website (together, the "Platform"). We handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number, password and account type (vehicle owner or provider).
- Profile and business details: profile photo, business name, address, website, licences and certifications you choose to show.
- Vehicle details: the make, model, year and other details of vehicles you add to your garage.
- Content you post: listings, service requests, quotes, Shout Outs, job posts, photos, reviews and ratings.
- Messages: chats you exchange with other users on the Platform, and messages you send to our support team.
Information collected automatically
- Location: if you allow it, your device location, used to show providers and deals near you. You can also enter an address by hand.
- Device and log data: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and the date and time of sign-ins.
- Notification token: an identifier that lets us send push notifications to your device.
- Usage data: the pages and posts you view, save or respond to.
Payment information
If you buy a paid feature, the payment is processed by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of the payment but do not store your full card number.
2. How we use your information
- to create and secure your account, including sending verification codes;
- to show your listings, requests, quotes and Shout Outs to other users;
- to match requests with nearby providers and show you relevant results;
- to deliver messages and send notifications about your activity;
- to review content, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms & Conditions;
- to answer support requests; and
- to understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it.
3. What other users can see
Content you publish — listings, requests, Shout Outs, reviews, and the business details and general location attached to them — is visible to other users, and Shout Outs are also shown publicly on our website. When you send a quote or a message, the other person sees your name and the contact details you choose to share.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Other users, as described in section 3;
- Service companies that work for us, such as cloud hosting and storage, push notification, email/SMS and payment providers, who may only use the information to provide their service to us; and
- Authorities or other parties, when the law requires it or when needed to protect the rights and safety of our users or of RideReadyHub.
Some of these service companies store or process information outside Canada. When that happens the information may be subject to the laws of that country.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is open. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law or need to resolve a dispute or prevent fraud.
6. How we protect it
We use encryption in transit, access controls and other reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your verification codes private.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: you can view and edit most of your information in the app, or ask us for a copy or a correction.
- Notifications: you can turn push notifications on or off in the app's notification settings or in your device settings.
- Location: you can turn location access off in your device settings at any time.
- Deletion: you can ask us to delete your account and data — see our Delete Account page.
- Withdrawing consent: you can withdraw consent to our use of your information, although some features will stop working.

8. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
